Eulogy Example for a Mother

Thank you all for being here today to celebrate the life of my mother. Looking out at all of you, I am reminded of how many lives she touched, and that brings me comfort in this difficult time.

Mom was the heart of our family. She had a way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. Whether it was a home-cooked meal that somehow tasted better than anything from a restaurant, or the way she remembered the smallest details about the people in her life, she showed her love through action every single day.

She taught us so much, often without saying a word. She taught us that kindness costs nothing but means everything. That showing up matters more than grand gestures. That family is not just the people you are born to, but the people you choose to love.

I will miss her voice, her laugh, the way she could always tell when something was wrong even before I said a word. I will miss calling her for advice, hearing her stories, and watching her light up around her grandchildren.

But I also know that she lives on. In the values she instilled in us. In the recipes she passed down. In the way we love our own families, which is really just her love continuing through us.

Mom, thank you for everything. For the sacrifices you made that we never knew about, and the ones we did. For believing in us when we did not believe in ourselves. For loving us so completely and so well.

Rest now. You have earned it. We will carry your love with us always.
